Hello ...!
Vacation is coming (mine, anyway)! All summer long I keep hearing about other people's vacations. Like when I call a prospect only to find they're out of the country. Or you email a client and learn that they're OOF for another week and a half. And of course you can't avoid all of the great photos you see of friends and family that are posted
on Facebook and Instagram. Wait, what - my nephew is out on another backpacking trip? Again? Wow! I'm not envious, am I?
This week a new blog post on delegation, and a blog post that grew out of a free two-hour training I went to sponsored by Kathleen Gage on how to effectively use collaboration to put on successful small events.
And don't forget a fun and informative interview with Dr. Bill Lampton, Ph. D., who holds forth about business
communication and public speaking skills. Don't miss this one. And be sure to leave a review and subscribe to the podcast if you haven't done that yet!
Soundtrack for this week's newsletter is a
Madonna mixtape I've had since May of 1989. I even put the date on it: May 6, 1989! I'm not a huge Madonna fan, but at times I enjoy listening to her music. She dominated the charts and the country's media zeitgeist for a decade or two starting with her hit album Madonna, released in 1983. Her Wikipedia entry calls her the 'wealthiest woman in the music business." Her tours have racked up over $1.4B in ticket
sales, making her the highest-grossing solo touring artist of all time. Yup, even more than Bruce! In looking up a little information about her, I notice - coincidentally, I'm sure - that she turns 60 this Thursday, August 16th. Happy Birthday, Madonna!
