Hi ,
"Success isn't permanent, and failure isn't fatal." - Mike Ditka
I was watching TV the other night and one of the characters, a parent that was talking to her 20-something son, said something like, "I'm not perfect. I'm trying to figure out life day by day just like you and everybody else."
A good reminder that no matter who you are or what age you are, you'll have success and failures and challenges. You'll falter and stumble and make the occasional dumb choice. You'll invest in a company that tanks. You'll wonder what the hell you're doing sometimes. But then you keep pushing through. I think it was Winston Churchill who said, "When you're in hell, keep going!"
Keep on pushing!
This week a couple of fun items on the blog. Don't miss the ten great oldies that will help you out and pump you up for tradeshow marketing. Then review the post on how to tell your story with a tradeshow booth. Finally, a great interview with Howard Berg, known as the world's fastest reader. And he's got a lot to teach us as well!
Soundtrack for this week's newsletter:
Camper van Beethoven's Key Lime Pie. Thirty years old this year, it was the last album before the Santa Cruz band broke up in 1990. They were indie rock darlings for a short time, and
made a bit of splash with their cover of Status Quo's "
Pictures of Matchstick Men." The band eventually regrouped and with the offshoot band Cracker they have toured multiple times together.
