Hi ,
The rain has returned to Oregon, albeit in small doses. Still waiting for that weather system to move in that keeps us under cloud cover and in rainproof overcoats for weeks, and dumps a ton of snow in the mountains. That's what I'm waiting for. I put up with the rain so that I can ski in the sun. That's life, right?
This week on the blog: a podcast about blind spots, a guest article on things event promoters should do to their first time out, and an article that asks the question, why don't tradeshows work for all exhibitors?
Soundtrack for this week's issue is courtesy of the very first Thin Lizzy album, simply titled
Thin Lizzy. Released in 1971, critics described it as 'surprisingly mellow,' and some songs sounding 'confused and unfinished.' Whatever. It started the
band onto greatness (in my opinion), and it was only a couple of years before I discovered them with
"Vagabonds of the Western World" as it played on a college station in the Portland area. It is a very different sort of Thin Lizzy album
from what came later, but well worth a listen.
