Hi ,
Back in the saddle for the first full week of the new year. 2020. We're here, buckle up!
I took a break the last two weeks on the podcast, but am kicking it off in high style for 2020 with an interview with David Meerman Scott about his new book, Fanocracy, co-written with his daughter Reiko Scott. On the blog, you'll also find a new guest post on the 5 benefits of face-to-face marketing. I also looked back and gathered a short list of podcast interviews from 2019 with 'actionable' tips for tradeshow marketing.
Soundtrack for this week's issue:
Midnight Oil's "
Blue Sky Mining," the successor to the breakthrough "
Diesel and Dust." It was about as successful as the previous album, hitting the top twenty in the US and hitting number one in native Australia. Always political, Midnight Oil pushed the boundaries again with this album, in particular the title track, which describes asbestos exposure at the Wittenoom Mine tragedy. I've been fortunate to see Midnight Oil live a
handful of times and would argue they put on one of the best live shows you'd ever see.
