Hi ,
Finding our way back to February, the shortest month. Although this time around we get an extra, thanks to Leap Year. Which, when you think about it, draws out the election stumping another day - yikes!
This week on the blog, I list 5 "must-do's" for successful tradeshow marketing, share an interview that Kathleen Gage did of me for her Power Up for Profits Podcast, and an interview I did with Exhibitor Appointed Contracter Association's Executive Director Jim Wurm, which gets at a lot of the 'behind-the-scenes' goings-on at tradeshows.
Soundtrack for this week's issue:
Donovan's Greatest Hits, a collection of, you guessed it, Donovan's best. Donovan was one of the flower children of the 60s, although I supposed that's a bit of a derogatory term. He
had some good rock hits along the way, including
Hurdy Gurdy Man, which is full of great rock lore. Some stories say that Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham of Led Zeppelin all played on the song. That story is partially
disputed by many sources and confirmed by others. It was written in Rishikesh, India, when Donovan was studying transcendental meditation with the Beatles. The lyrics were partially written by George Harrison. Donovan's Greatest Hits collection is a solid collection.
