Hi ,
The thing on everybody's mind today must be the Coronavirus, or more specifically, COVID-19, the strain that is getting on people's nerves. Especially the news. How dangerous is it? Yet to be determined, but event managers and tradeshow exhibitors are having to make some tough and quick decisions around the ongoing spread. I'm headed to Natural Products Expo West this afternoon, which, according to a press release, will still go on. But it may have an attendance of only 40-60% of normal.
Several of our clients have pulled out of the show as a cautionary measure, but not all of them.
I'll be reporting from the show over the next week on my blog and various social media outlets. You can track all of that down at
TradeshowGuy.net.
Meanwhile, there's a new podcast/vlog up on the blog featuring a fun interview with Marcus Vehle and John Pugh of Share Experience Company. Also on the blog new posts that look at the best tradeshow-related articles I found on Twitter, along with a look at what data you might want to track while exhibiting.
Soundtrack for today's issue:
The Hooters "Nervous Night," which was released in May 1985 and eventually sold over two million copies, achieving multi-platinum status and spawning at least a couple of big hits.
