Hi ,
It's become clear that the Coronavirus COVID-19 disease is disrupting everything. Schools, sports, dining establishments, concert tours, and yes, the tradeshow and events industry. The most difficult thing, I think, is that no one knows how long or how deep the disruptions will go. It's unprecedented in so many ways.
On this week's TradeshowGuy Monday Morning Coffee I sat down with three industry colleagues to get their takes on the issue: how they and their clients are dealing with the changes, how they're planning and how they're adjusting. Thanks to Kevin Carty of Classic Exhibits, Marcus Vahle of Share Experience Company and Andy Saks of Spark Presentations for being available on short notice on Friday and Saturday.
There are a couple of other Coronavirus-related posts on the blog, including one that offers a few ideas on what to do when you can't exhibit at tradeshows. I also posted something on Tuesday of last week that seems woefully out of date just a few days later - but it was what was going on then.
Soundtrack for this week's issue:
Manfred Mann's Earth Band Greatest Hits. Tons of fun stuff here. Their covers of the Bruce Springsteen songs, and many other tunes which I've ingested over the
years. Was a big fan in their heyday. Even got to see them in concert back in the day. According to
Wikipedia, the band is still active and touring on occasion.
