Hi ,
Last Friday morning, or afternoon, depending on where you were, about a dozen colleagues and industry-types gathered in my Zoom Room for casual conversation. Most everyone was grappling with the new reality of working from home, moving their businesses forward, and working to stay connected. We spent about 40 minutes until the Zoom Room timed out (that's what I get for having a free Zoom account). I'll likely try it again in another week. Hope you join us if you can - stay tuned.
Lots of people are asking a couple of questions: how are you? and how long will this last? And many people I interact with are working from home. For this week's podcast/vlog, I got into a handful of tips that were posted on the blog as well on how to work at home. I've been working at home for almost nine years, and I think I might have figured out a few things. Maybe.
Also this week, a short video on the blog of what might have been. I put together a brief video of the updates that a handful of clients had planned to unveil at Natural Products Expo West 2020. Given the nature of how fast companies plan product updates, it wouldn't surprise me if Expo West updates might not ever see the light of another tradeshow!
Soundtrack for this week's issue:
XTC's English Settlement (Spotify link). Released in 1982, it's the fifth LP and first double album from the English band. XTC is an acquired taste, and I was never a huge fan
at the time of the band's heyday. But over the years, my respect and fandom of the band has increased, and I consider them one of the best bands of their time, and think of them as one of the most creative and talented bands I've heard.
