Hi ,
What's the mood around you, around your city, your neighborhood, your workplace? Things are changing in some places, not so much in others. Here in Oregon they've drawn up guidelines for restaurants and other establishments to open, but if they don't have certain criteria in place, they remain closed. And we keep taking one step forward.
One thing that's changing, or perhaps will change significantly as eventually more and more people return to the workplace from working from home, is the office. In fact, the open office may be a thing of the past. An Inc. article, What the Future of Office Design Might Look Like Now is a good starting place. There are others, and a handful are referenced in a new blog post about the shifting workplace. Also, a podcast interview with Jay Gilbert of Label Logic as we discuss what the
pandemic has meant to the music world.
Soundtrack for this week's issue:
Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York, one of those left-field albums that ended up debuting at Number One on Billboard's Hot 100 album chart about a year after it was recorded at the MTV Studios. It was an unusual set, given that the band, one of the hottest in the country, sang a bunch of lesser-known songs of their own, along with covers by the Vaselines, David Bowie, Lead Belly and the Meat Puppets.
