Exhibitor and Expo West Wrap-up

Published: Tue, 03/13/12

Hi ...

Just returned from a week on the road, attending Exhibitor
2012 in Las Vegas and Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim
this past week.

At Exhibitor, I worked in the Classic Exhibits booth
alongside their crew, chatting about Social Media Event
Marketing U, the new membership site that just launched on
Monday, March 5th, the first day of Exhibitor.

It seemed that the various videos I put together to promote
Classic Exhibits' new booth at Exhibitor 2012 were well
received. As many as 20 people recognized me from the
videos (I guess that's a good thing!) The Classic Exhibits
crew loved the responses, as well as the series of videos,
and we all charted the show as a success in many ways.

Over in Anaheim, I spent a couple of days walking the
floor, meeting and greeting people and signing folks up to
my tradeshow marketing newsletter (if you're one of them -
WELCOME!).

Check the most recent blog posts on the TradeshowGuy Blog
here. One post that got a lot of comments, and was passed
around Twitter, as well as picked up by Social Media Today
(and was even retweeted almost 300 times...yeah, damn), had
to do with my musings on why some exhibitors don't return
to shows:

During the course of the two shows, I posted nine short
videos, six from Exhibitor and two from Expo West. It seems
people like the videos and will share them, as well as ping
me on Twitter about them.

Here's the YouTube feed for the most recent videos.

One other thing I noticed at Expo West is that exhibitors
are still using QR Codes, and they're using them better!
Watch for that blog post in a few days...

Enjoy,
